What we hold, and what we don't.
We market roofing companies. That puts us near two kinds of people: the contractor who hires us, and the homeowner who calls him. This page says what we keep about each.

Who we are
VisibleRoofers is a marketing service for residential and commercial roofing contractors, run by Wesley Goldstein, a sole proprietor in Florida.

This website
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no session recording, and it loads nothing from another company: no hosted fonts, no scripts, no embedded video. Nobody is told you were here.
The web server keeps a standard access log so the site can be run and kept secure. A log line holds the IP address of the request, the time, the page asked for, and the browser string your device sends. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not connect it to anything else.
If you get in touch
There is no form on this site. Contact is email or the phone, so what we hold is what you send us: usually your name, your company, your city, your website, a phone number and whatever you wrote.
We use it to answer you and to run the free audit if you asked for one. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not hand it to anyone for advertising.
The free audit
Give us a company, a city and a website and we run the searches a homeowner runs, then send back what came up. It reads public search results and public AI answers. It does not touch your website, your Google account or anything you own.
Nothing is filed against your name. If you never sign, the audit leaves no record of you in our system at all.
If you become a client
Once you sign we hold what running the work needs:
- Your business details and the people we deal with there.
- Where you work and the locations you work from.
- Access to the marketing accounts you grant us, and the passwords or keys that access needs.
- The work itself: pages, posts, review responses, filings, reports.
- What we measure: rankings, map positions, AI answers, tracked calls, form fills.
- Invoices and payment status.
Bank details go into the payment processor's own form and are held by them. We never see or store your account number.
Your website and its content are yours. That is in the agreement, and it does not change when the engagement ends.
Homeowners
If you called a roofing company we work for, or filled in the form on their website, read this part.
We do not hold your name, your phone number, your email address or your message. Those go to the roofer you contacted. They are his customer record, not ours.
What we do hold is the fact that a call or a form fill happened, because that is how the roofer knows whether his marketing is working:
- For a tracked call: when it came in, how long it lasted, which tracking number was dialled, and which listing or page it came from. Where the call-tracking company recorded the call, we hold a link to their copy.
- For a form fill: that one happened, and when. The name, number and message you typed go from that website straight to the roofer by email. Our system reads past them and writes none of it down, not to a database and not to a log.
We never contact a homeowner. We send no texts, no emails and no calls, and there is no part of our system that can.
Google account data
A client grants us access to their own Google services so we can do the work and show what it did. Where that happens we ask for the narrowest access that works:
- Search Console: read only. The searches that brought people to the client's site.
- Google Analytics: read only. Traffic and behaviour on the client's own site.
- Google Business Profile: manager level, to post, reply to reviews and keep the listing correct. We never take ownership of a client's profile, and our system cannot record that we have it.
We use that data to deliver and report on the service the client is paying for, and for nothing else. We do not sell it. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not transfer it to anyone except the service providers listed below, where the work needs it, or where the law requires it.
Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
A client can withdraw any of that access at any time, in Google's own settings for the service concerned, and can ask us to delete what we have already pulled.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of companies to run the service, and each one gets only the part it needs to do its job:
- Hosting and databases for our own system and for client websites.
- Email delivery for reports and notices.
- Call tracking for the numbers on client marketing.
- A search-data provider for rankings, map positions and AI answers.
- A dashboard provider for the client's own read-only numbers.
- A payment processor for invoices and bank debits.
- An AI provider for drafting, where a draft is sent for wording. Client financial figures and homeowner details are never sent to it.
We do not sell data to anybody, and nothing a client gives us is used for another client's work. Clients in the same area compete with each other, and keeping them apart is built into how the system stores and reads every row.
How long we keep it
Client records stay while the engagement runs and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Measurements like rankings and call counts are dated observations and are kept as history, because a report that shows you where you started needs the start.
Operational logs are kept for a limited window and then destroyed on a schedule.
When an engagement ends we can export everything we hold for that client and then erase it. Ask and we will do both.
What you can ask for
Write to us and you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will tell you plainly if something has to be kept, and why.
If you are a homeowner asking about a call or a form fill, ask the roofing company you contacted first. They hold your details. We hold the timestamp.
How it is kept
Every record in our system is labelled with the client it belongs to and with the kind of data it is. Nobody and nothing reads a record without a reason that has been checked against both labels, and every read and every write is recorded. Credentials are held separately from everything else and are reachable by fewer people again.
No system is perfect and we are not going to claim ours is. What we can say is that reaching one client's data from another client's work is not something a mistake can cause here.
Children
This service is sold to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything about them. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this page changes, the new version goes up here with a new date at the top. If a change materially affects a client, we email them as well.
